Yankee Gas' Matching Payment Program provides low-income heating customers who have past-due balances, gas service year-round and the possibility of forgiveness of back balances owed.
To qualify for the Yankee Gas Matching Payment Program, you must:
- Apply and qualify for energy assistance funds, which will be applied to your Yankee Gas account, and
- Make and keep a payment arrangement
For customers who do this, Yankee Gas will deduct from your bill an amount equal to the money you've paid and the amount received from the energy assistance program, up to a zero balance.
You Can Not Receive A Credit Balance From this Program.
